we just got directv in our home, last week. i tried to do this several months ago but the installing person that came out said there were too many trees around for us to get good reception, and he was not happy about climbing on top of our house. i can’t blame him for that, this is why i ordered gutter guard so the husband wouldn’t have to fall off of our house cleaning the gutters. i don’t do windows or gutters.
i got a SPECIAL OFFER from my american express people for directv, so i figured i’d try it again. there are sometimes when it’s good that i don’t give up easily. (there are other times when it would be good for me to give up easily.) one day, maybe i’ll find the balance. or, i won’t.
(this is why i am awful at tests, i always think “well, maybe if the conditions were just right, 4 plus 5 could equal 8.” does that mean i’m an optimist?)
the main reason i want satellite tv is b/c we can save about $150 a month switching from cable. our internet will remain cable, but we are now a satellite tv viewing home. the biggest plus for the husband is watching battlestar galactica on HDTV, OH FRACK!
earlier today, i came to the realization that i could watch be the marriage on ice on my BIG TV! (i could’ve done this prior to getting satellite, so this is another reason satellite has begun to change my life. i think of things i didn’t think of before!)
now if there were a way to make big bang theory interactive, i mind lose my mind from the pure joy of it all. if you were a fan of the sitcom roseanne back in the day, you’ll be happy to know that darlene and david are paired up again in the big bang theory, altho not as the same characters as they were on roseanne.
both the husband and i have been geeking out for about two hours today trying to see all of our possibilities with this new invention of satellite tv.
another thing that having satellite has done for me, during the geeking, my husband and i have discovered that i still suffer from lingering tourettes symptoms. i’ll write more on that later, as it is an exciting discovery.

I love tourettes syndrome! What a wild disease!
But I love Big Bang Theory more! Sheldon and Leonard are the funniest couple. I know, not the romantic kind, but a couple nonetheless. That show is so intelligently funny!

scott: just read my comment, now thinking “i am so gay”.
p.s. shoulda known you’d love them fellers too, it is definitely an intelligent show. however, what is the deal with that door and the caution tape over it every episode? it’s bothering me, i must say.

It’s the broken elevator isn’t it? I never questioned it. That is why they use the stairs. And I think when they were bringing something of Penny’s, a large boxed something, they had to push it up the stairs since the elevator was broken. At least I think I am remembering that correctly.
