some of my ideas are good

i’m just going to warn you that i got mah-seff a web site of my very own. not telling you what it is until i can build it up. right now, there’s just a placeholder there.

when i started signing it up, i was reminded of the time i asked the husband a year or so ago what he thought about buying up dot com names in order to re-sell them at a higher price. i envisioned that it would be kind of like real estate.

since everyone knows that real estate is in the shitter, has been in the shitter for a very long time, and might be forever you don’t want to get yourself in the real estate business. although, i do want to add that the major city right down the road from here is in the #1 spot for successful real estate transactions.

the husband poo-pooed the idea, then i asked him what the heck does he know anyway? i keep saying that i’m going to stop asking him questions all together but i haven’t perfected it yet. i put it on my mental to-do list, and forgot about it. until one day i was listening to who else, but the bob and sheri syndicated radio show and they were discussing this very subject. the details may not be completely accurate b/c i am using my brain recall, and it isn’t what it used to be. i think the man who bought pizza.com a very long time ago was able to turn a profit in the millions.

i know nothing about this whole world out there of buying and selling website names, but i plan to do some investigating.

what’d i’d like to have some feedback on if any of you feel like it, is what can you pass on about what NOT TO DO in getting your own domain. that would be really cool.

i’m not completely sure what prompted me to do this, but i’ve thought about it for some time. the way i see things is that you never know about stuff until you give it a go, reach for the sky and take chances. not that getting a domain is worthy of the “sky reaching”, or maybe it is. who knows?
