strangers, turkeys, and authentic food.

this first photo is of a complete stranger that i *met* while stopped at a traffic light today. he must have seen me snapping pictures of the clouds, so when i glanced his way he mouthed “take a picture of me”, so i did. i live for moments like these, serendipitous moments with strangers that are not weirdos.
after the light turned green, i turned left and spotted a turkey just sitting on the side of the road like that’s what turkeys do all the time. i turned the go-cart around, and took some pictures of the turkey.
later i met my mom, my sister (angel), hello kitty, hk’s mom, and more candor for an early mother’s day dinner at a mexican restaurant. the restaurant was so mexican-authentic in that you really could not drink the water due to a water main leak in the area.
shortly after i arrived at the restaurant, the waiter came to get my drink order, i requested tea. he came back shortly with a cup of water. i shared my confusion with my dinner mates and they confirmed that i had indeed ordered tea.
the waiter came back, and i asked him if they had tea and he said yes. he explained about the water problem, and that they had to boil the water to make tea. i felt guilty for asking for my tea. this also explained the fact that we were given plastics utensils and paper plates to eat with. i guess they couldn’t wash the dishes in bad water.

Keep coming back (dear).
Did you order the Salmonella special?
LOL at post, comments, pics, everything.
I love the guy who wanted his picture taken. What a great face and spirit all crammed into one dude. Even more, I love that you complied and shared it with us!
He looks familiar. I think I know him from somewhere. That’s seriously bizarre if you got a pic of some miscellaneous person in traffic that I know.
I want to see my flower pics. Where are they? I planted a hybiscus in there today and it loves it’s new home.
Love You….AS
I wonder if he had a turkey in that pet carrier in the front seat. He is so happy though that it made me forget that Bacon Bits was screaming at me for not letting him go outside to play tonight.
And next time you get anything that “authentic” Mexican, you know it might be better to stick with a can of soda, or something. That way you don’t get e-coli, or that 8 foot tape worm GuyKawasaki showed me.
