went to see the TAL broadcast last night at the movie theater on rea road in charlotte.
i had hoped it was going to be at the fancy theater that serves gourmet desserts, but alas it was not. i did walk right up into the place with a coffee from dean and deluca (despite the signs that read “no outside food or drinks”) b/c i am a rebel and a lawbreaker. AND, i smuggled in the dark chocolate covered almonds from d & d.
(i did attempt to throw off my unlawfulness by purchasing a popcorn and a water at the theater….)
the presentation was a very interesting experience, very funny, and i cannot wait for the new season to start up on showtime, THIS SUNDAY NIGHT.
the thing i love about tal, via radio or tv is that they are authentic, always original and always informative. i ALWAYS learn something from the show, and i love me some learning. there is nothing else out there like tal (that i know of) and that, for me increases the attraction.
my god ira is a peach. i’m guessing that ira never in his wildest dreams considered himself a hottie but he is. keep in mind that my list of hotties is wide and long: dave letterman, bill gates (and not b/c of his money), john cusack, eminem, and abraham lincoln to name just a few. my range is wide and not typical.
there was one segment in which an actual iraqi set up a “stand” with “talk to an iraqi” and an arrow pointing down towards where the man sat. think charlie brown and “the doctor is in” stand.
this man (an actual iraqi) lives in new york, but guess where he went to give people an opportunity to talk to an iraqi?
savannah. WHY wasn’t he there while i WAS there? boohag, did you notice this guy at any point in savannah?
this segment was funny, informative, and might make you cry. as it often is with tal, and who DOESN’T love an emotional roller coaster that they are not in a relationship with?
one last thing, ira. when you mentioned all the cities taking part in this special broadcast? i didn’t hear you mention charlotte. i heard raleigh-durham, but not charlotte. it is possible that i must missed it, but i didn’t hear it. please tell me that i just missed hearing it.
