her three names (that i use) there are more that others use for her. it’s b/c she’s that type of person that cannot be sequestered with just one name.
here are the names i use for her (with permission of course): “cheree”, aka “cheree-head”, aka “boohag” or bh for short.
here her is:
i must share about the trip to my boo-hag’s graduation and a place called savannah, georgia. there is an exotic quality to savannah. i’ve never really been there, ‘cept driving through to and from florida. i was notified that a large population of the savannah women are packing heat. in case i was planning on picking a fight i guess this is good information to have.
bh and i haven’t had much socializing time since her prince charming whisked her away to florida, then to shelby, nc and then to savannah georgia. prince charming is a college professor who writes poems, and has them poems published. he’s a DR mr. charming.
DR mr. charming with his loverly wife:
back in the day, boohag and i would paint the town. not in the alcohol way, but in a starbucks way. she was always up for an adventure and always seemed to know where to find them. i have a tendency to ask 9,000 questions and boohag could almost answer all of them. she is very knowledgeable in a lot of areas.
i arrived friday night last week and her parents and husband were all there sitting around jibber-jabbing. her dad bears an uncanny resemblance to my dad. his fingers and finger nails, his laugh lines around the eyes, a warm smile, a quick and wise wit of an owl and a beautiful sense of humor. seriously, it was almost unbearable for me to be in her dad’s presence due to the similarities.
boohag has an equally amazing mother and i think i could talk to her for hours. she tells great stories (both of boohag’s parents tell a great story and they passed it on to boohag.)
she’s got two really awesome parents that are keeping it real in their 60’s yo. each time i’ve ever been in the company of her parents, i love them more and more.
shortly before going to bed that night, bh and i were talking about something and i somehow managed to squeeze in to whatever we were talking about the subject of my deviated septum.
she quickly asked if she could see it, to which i replied, “of course”. she immediately reached for her purse and pulled out her flashlight and commenced to looking up my nose. then she called to her husband (DR mr. charming) and requested that he show me HIS deviated septum.
you just cannot buy friends better than that.
after bh’s graduation ceremony we went to one of her favorite restaurants. she was a little bummed that the main dining room wasn’t open, but none of us knew any better and enjoyed the atmosphere thoroughly. i must say that bh likes her people and restaurants with a “story” which usually makes for fantastic fodder.
i really miss bh and i think if we’ve still stayed in touch after marriages, babies, schooling, moving and general bs of life that nothing will ever keep up apart. and for that, i am grateful.
congratulations cheree, i lovers you.

BH is lucky, lucky to have you for a pal and vice versa. I’m coming to terms with that jealousy thing I alluded to previously.

one wink: doesn’t jealousy help keep the fires burning?
tiggerlane: i laughed, and then i wondered if i could actually post a picture of it. i have the xrays around here somewhere…
